Instant Pot Applesauce {Easy, Paleo}

Equipment

  • Pressure Cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 pd Jonathan or granny smith apples sliced
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar optional
  • 2/3 cup water

Instructions

  • 1. Slice your apples off the core and add into your instant pot. (no need to remove skin)
    2. Add cinnamon and sweetener to your apples (note: sweetener is optional)
    3. Add your water to the pot. (note: The more water you add the thinner the your applesauce will be)
    4. place lid on the instant pot and lock. Make sure to turn the steam release to seal.
    5. Hit the pressure cook button and set time at 4 minutes.
    6. When timer goes off, turn the steam release to venting and allow all steam to exit the pot. Once steam is finished releasing, remove the lid.
    7. Take a fork and remove all skins from the sauce. Mash to desired consistancy and place in jars.
    NOTE: Applesauce is good stored in an air tight jar for up to one week to ten days.
