Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together. Slick cold butter in small chucks and add to flour mixture. Add your buttermilk and stir with a spatula until roughly combined.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter your cast iron and let heat for 10 minutes in the oven
Form small sections into loose balls and place in cast iron.
Place your skillet in the oven and bake for 18-20 minutes
