HEALTHY EATING TIPS DURING THE SUMMER
Summer is here! We think pools π§ cookouts π‘ and late nights with friends sitting under the stars π π
When we think of all the things we love to do during the summer, just about every thought involves food.
So how do we create healthy habits and NOT give up foods we love during the summer time??
Here are just a few tips to help you out π
π Grill your food- grilling is always a better choice over frying. Frying leaves you with unwanted non-essential fats from the oils you use.
πGrab fruits and veggies- limit the starchy foods and take advantage of delicious fruits and veggies. Try veggies that are high in nutrients like asparagus, artichoke, bell peppers, mushroom or eggplant.
π Monitor your portions. We all have foods we love and just because your trying to make healthy changes doesn’t mean we have to get to a unpleasant, restrictive diet. Try approaching food as an overall change to your health and maintaining proper portion control on ALL foods.
